Citrus at Stull Ranches
Stull Ranches currently grows four varieties of citrus.
Lane Lates
Lane Lates are navels that matures late in the season, and therefore have a market niche.
They tend to be a fruit low in acid, a milder fruit.
FW Murcott
The Murcott mandarines are self-fertilizing, which means they do not need bees to pollinate them. However, if a fertile flower is pollinated by a bee, the fruit it will contain seeds.
The Murcotts are known for their slightly richer flavor.
Tangos
This mandarine never has seeds and a rancher does not have to worry about bees spoiling his crop.
Breakfast without orange juice is like a day without sunshine.
